
WILMINGTON — Law enforcement made a few arrests after pulling over a vehicle for window tint and stop-sign violations Wednesday.
According to a release from the WPD, 28-year-old Jamal Goodman, attempted to run from officers when pulled over. After a brief foot chase, the driver was apprehended and allegedly in possession of a gun.
Passenger Jahlil McKinney, 18, also was taken into custody upon officers finding him in possession of a firearm.
WPD reported marijuana was found on the third occupant, 19-year-old Demirion Barnett of Wilmington.
Goodman was charged with window tint violation, failing to stop at a stop sign, RDO, CCW-gun, and firearm by a felon. He is being held without bond.
McKinney was charged with carrying a concealed weapon — gun, parole violation, and firearm by a felon and did not receive a bond.
Barnett was charged with possession of marijuana and probation violation. He received a $50,000 secure bond.
All three individuals were taken to the NHCSO Detention Center.
