SOUTHPORT — Conceived by Dosher’s Workplace Wellness Committee, a walking trail has opened behind Dosher Memorial Hospital in Southport.

The 0.25 mile trail offers employees a designated place to exercise, enjoy the outdoors, or unwind after a shift, according to a press release. It begins and ends at the back entrance of the hospital, located at 924 North Howe St.

“Part of being a great place to work is investing in the overall well-being of our staff,” Lynda Stanley, president and CEO of Dosher, said in the release.

The wellness committee started in order to improve employee well-being and overall health.

“The culture we strive to enact at Dosher is one where employees have access to programs that will help them create the healthiest versions of themselves,” Stanley continued.
