NEW HANOVER COUNTY — Local law enforcement is searching for an armed suspect who robbed the Dollar General at 2523 Castle Hayne Road
The New Hanover County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to the store just before 9 p.m. Wednesday evening. At 8:47 p.m., a robber entered the Dollar General and approached the counter. He brandished a firearm and demanded money. The employee working complied and handed over cash from the register.
The suspect — described as a black male wearing a black hoodie, mask and jeans — left in an unknown direction.
