
WILMINGTON — A 21-year-old Wilmington man was charged with a felony sex offense in Pender County on Tuesday.
Jesse Dudley Hunter III, was charged with one count of soliciting a child by computer to commit an unlawful sex act and appear.
Pender County Sheriff’s Office says Hunter was caught in a sting, and allegedly messaged a 14-year-old while arranging to meet an undercover agent “for the purposes of committing sexual acts.”
Hunter was held on a $2,500 secured bond and his first court appearance was Wednesday.
PCSO credits its special victims unit, the narcotics unit and detectives from the Burgaw Police Department for the arrest.
