Hiring event to take place this week

WILMINGTON — A career fair held in collaboration of Cape Fear Workforce Development Board, NCWorks and Cape Fear Manufacturing will take place two days this week featuring area companies looking to hire.

Hosted at 1994 S. 17th St., the fair takes place Sept. 6 and 7, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wilmington Mayor Bill Saffo will be in attendance to address employers and job seekers.

HSM Machine Works

Job seekers can receive assistance on résumé building and interviewing skills from NCWorks. Staff from NCWorks New Hanover will be on hand at the event to assist.

Employers will be able to find candidates, post jobs and gather info on the labor market.

The Cape Fear Workforce Development Board (CFWDB) provides free services to job seekers and businesses through the regional NCWorks Career Center system in Brunswick, Columbus, New Hanover, and Pender counties.
