BRUNSWICK COUNTY — Residents in Brunswick who wish to get rid of items outside of household trash or hazardous waste will have the opportunity to do so this month.

Taking place from Sept. 12 through 17, Free Clean Up Week allows disposal of numerous materials: metal, tires, electronics, appliances, latex paint, clothing, shoes, used oil, oil filters, antifreeze, gasoline, fluorescent bulbs, used cooking oil, smoke detectors, household batteries, and yard debris in their designated area at the landfill during this week.

Participants must show proof of Brunswick County property ownership or residency.

Businesses and commercial vehicles will be charged normal tipping fees. The Bolivia landfill is located at 172 Landfill Rd. NE and is open Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. until 5 p.m. and Saturday, 7:30 a.m. until 3 p.m.
