Two week traffic shift on Market to start Sunday night

WILMINGTON —  According to the N.C. Department of Transportation, a traffic shift will take place Sunday night along Market Street.

Crews will be installing stormwater piping across the roadway between the Ogden Fire Station and Brief Road. A two-way left turn lane will close and southbound lanes — which crews will work on — will shift to one lane.

The northbound lanes will be unaffected, according to NCDOT.

Construction will begin at 8 p.m. July 10 and will remain in place for two weeks. Motorists should proceed with caution through affected areas.
