
PENDER COUNTY — Contracting crews will be repaving more than a dozen miles of Interstate 40 in Pender County, beginning in August.
The 18 miles of roadway from west of U.S. 117 at mile marker 388 to N.C. 210 at mile marker 408 will be surfaced. The contract was awarded to ST Wooten Corporation this month for $17 million.
Work is expected to continue until spring of 2024. Drivers can expect some lane closures during this time.
