WILMINGTON — Two men are being held at the New Hanover County Detention Center after being arrested for felony gun charges.
According to a release from the WPD, police arrived in the 100 block of Dock Street Friday, May 20, at 10:20 p.m. to serve a warrant to 30-year-old Codey Guerrero. Officers took Guerrero into custody and charged him with two counts of possession of firearm by a felon, disorderly conduct, assault and battery, and carrying a concealed weapon.
On May 21, 2:05 a.m., police responded to another call along North Front Street. A 25-year-old, Joquis Pollock, was brandishing a firearm; law enforcement commanded him to drop it.
Eventually, Pollock surrendered and police took him into custody and charged him with felony carrying a concealed weapon, firearm by a felon, and going armed to the terror of the public. He is being held under a $100,000 secured bond.
