Alleged drug dealer arrested during traffic stop

WILMINGTON — Wilmington Police Department arrested a Burgaw man Sunday night with more than a dozen warrants out for his arrest.

Daquan Ellison, 30, was wanted for a list of charges, including: conspiracy to sell/deliver Schedule III controlled substance; PWIMSD Schedule II controlled substance; manufacture Schedule II controlled substance; PWIMSD cocaine; trafficking opium or heroin; PWIMSD heroin and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Ellison was pulled over around 10:30 p.m. in the 200 block of North 31st Street. He was taken to the New Hanover County Sheriff’s Office Detention Center and issued a $500,000 secured bond.
