WILMINGTON — Wilmington police responded to shots fired Wednesday evening near Houston Moore. No one was injured or arrested in connection to the incident, but two arrests were made near the scene.
Just before 6 p.m., Wilmington Police Department units responded to the scene, in the 1200 block of Dahlia Court by Family Dollar, after ShotSpotter activated.
Officers observed a subject entering a home in the 1500 block of South 13th Street. The residence was surrounded, and the male emerged shortly after without incident, according to WPD.
Kenzolis Le’Meake Stukes, 28, was arrested and served outstanding warrants for two counts of failure to appear and one count of conspiracy to sell and deliver cocaine. He was taken to the New Hanover County Sheriff’s Office Detention Center.
Another possible subject, a juvenile, was seen running into a home in the 1500 block of Moore Plaza. A search of the home resulted in the seizure of five guns, ammunition and narcotics. Officers detained the juvenile and brought him to his parent, according to WPD.
Akuilla Colbert, 24, was arrested for resist, hinder and delay. “He made several attempts to enter the crime scene after being ordered not to,” according to WPD.
