Area of 23rd Street closed due to water main break

WILMINGTON — CFPUA reported an area around 23rd Street is closed off, likely into Saturday afternoon due to a water main break.

Only local traffic will be able to get through the 200 and 300 blocks of North 23rd. All other traffic will be detoured as CFPUA crews make repairs.

According to a release from CFPUA, “southbound traffic will detour onto Princess Place Drive to Kenwood Drive to Chestnut Street and return to North 23rd. Northbound traffic will detour onto Chestnut Street to North 22nd Street to Princess Place Drive and return to North 23rd.”

A map of the affected area is above.
