WPD identify body found in Cape Fear River

WILMINGTON — The Wilmington Police Department identified the body pulled from the Cape Fear River Tuesday morning.

The female is 64-year-old Edna Faye Davis of Wilmington.

WPD responded to a call about a body in the river at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday. When they arrived at the marina at Harnett Street, they found the female.

WPD said foul play is not suspected. Autopsy results will determine the cause of death, according to a release from department.
