Jason Isbell rescheduling show at Wilmington’s Wilson Center after contracting Covid-19

WILMINGTON — Jason Isbell has called off his upcoming show at downtown Wilmington’s Wilson Center and is working to reschedule, according to Tweets from the singer-songwriter.

“Got myself a breakthrough case of Covid- feeling fine but we’ll have to cancel the next few shows,” he wrote Tuesday morning on his social.

Shows were also called off in Asheville, Louisville, Columbus and Wilkes-Barre. He was scheduled to perform at the Cape Fear Community College venue Jan. 19 with his band The 400 Unit and opener Adia Victoria.

Isbell said they are working on confirming new dates, but ticket holders should be able to receive a refund at the point of purchase.

“Lotta sinus drainage type stuff, scratchy in my throat and some muscle aches but no cough or breathing issues FYI,” he wrote of his symptoms. “Boosted and very grateful for it.”

A spokesperson for the Wilson Center-Cape Fear Community College sent the following statement:

“Obviously, we are disappointed to hear this news, and wish Jason a speedy recovery, but we are working closely with the tour on setting up a rescheduled date for this concert. Please keep an eye on our website, as we will update the information there as soon as it becomes available.”
