Brunswick County hosts pop-up vaccination clinics

BRUNSWICK COUNTY — Two pop-up clinics will take place this week in Brunswick County, offering all three vaccines for ages 12 and up.

Individuals can walk in, no appointment necessary, to get the free vaccine; insurance is not required. Pfizer-BioNTech, Moderna and J&J will be available, though individuals 17 and younger are only eligible for the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine.

The pop-up clinics will not offer the Pfizer-BioNTech pediatric vaccine for children aged 5-11.

However, appointments can still be made, even for children 5-11, at Brunswick County Health Services in Bolivia or. at the Shallotte drive-thru clinic — though the drive-thru doesn’t require an appointment. Individuals can schedule the appointment online or call 910-253-2339, Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., to schedule.

Health services requires written permission from a parent/legal guardian to administer vaccines to those aged 5-15. Forms are available for download at brunswickcountync.gov/vaccines

Masks will be required at indoor clinics.
