Carolina Beach to reopen Freeman Park after multiple-day closure

Freeman Park will reopen Thursday after town officials cleared debris and confirmed conditions are safe.

CAROLINA BEACH — Freeman Park is reopening Thursday following a debris clean-up.

The police department closed the park last Sunday due to high tides and dangerous weather.

Town officials confirmed conditions are now safe. It reopens to the public starting at 6 a.m.
