Netflix’s ‘Echoes’ sets up in two Wilmington locations Wednesday

Expect some disruptions on Castle Street and South 17th Street Wednesday when a Netflix show sets up to shoot.

WILMINGTON — “Echoes,” a film project by Netflix Productions, is shooting in two locations around Wilmington Wednesday.

According to permits, the shoot will set up at vintage boutique Jess James + Co. on Castle Street and at city property on South 17th Street.

The TV thriller is one of seven ongoing film projects in the Cape Fear region. The show is about identical twins who have secretly switched lives since they were young. One goes missing, and “their world is thrown into disarray,” according to the series description. The first season will consist of eight episodes.
