Filming of Amazon’s ‘The Summer I Turned Pretty’ closes lanes on Lake Park Boulevard

CAROLINA BEACH, N.C. — “The Summer I Turned Pretty” will be filming scenes on Tuesday, Oct. 12, in Carolina Beach. Amazon film production crews will shutter both north- and southbound lanes of Lake Park Boulevard between Cape Fear Boulevard and Hamlet Avenue for two hours.

According to a release from the Town of Carolina Beach, the areas will be closed off from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. All traffic will be rerouted to Third Street to bypass the crews.

Throughout the rest of the day, intermittent closures will occur as well. However, foot traffic and access to businesses in the area will remain open, the town confirmed.

All questions can be sent to the parks and programs superintendent, Tim Murphy, at (910) 707-2064 or tim.murphy@carolinabeach.org.
