N. 23rd Street traffic shift will take place Monday

NEW HANOVER COUNTY –– A traffic shift originally planned for Saturday and Sunday will instead take place Monday.

Cape Fear Pubic Utility Authority completed emergency sewer repairs to a main ahead of schedule. Beginning Monday, Oct. 4 at 7 a.m., traffic from the outer northbound lane near N. 23rd Street and One Tree Hill Way will be shifted into the inner lane at the MLK Parkway ramp.

Motorists can still turn on and off the ramp; through traffic will not be affected.

The closure will stay in place until 5 p.m. Monday. It is needed so crews can replace a storm drain removed during the emergency sewer repair.
