NEW HANOVER COUNTY — Two clusters of Covid-19 cases were identified by the New Hanover County Public Health Department within the New Hanover County Schools system. One was found at Southeast Area Technical High School and the other at Ashley High School.
The department defines a cluster as five positive cases interconnected within a 14-day timeframe. Contact-tracing confirmed the cluster was kept within the student group. Since it was contained, remote learning isn’t needed for the remainder of student groups.
