WILMINGTON — Wilmington Police Department has announced the second arrest of a suspect allegedly involved in a fatal hit-and-run that killed a 17-year-old Brunswick County female.
Rebecker Wilson, 69, has been arrested and charged with armed robbery and second degree kidnapping. Wilson is being held under an $80,000 bond.
Wilson was the passenger and owner of a vehicle operated by Leopold Small Jr., 59.
Small was charged with felony hit and run resulting in death, second degree kidnapping, and armed robbery. He is being held under a $500,000 bond.
WPD added in its initial announcement of Small’s arrest that the 17-year-old victim is not the victim of the kidnapping or armed robbery.
