WILMINGTON — Wilmington Housing Authority distributed over 200 basic needs baskets to seniors last Tuesday with the help of the city fire department.
The Council of Large Public Housing Authorities recently awarded WHA a Covid-19 resident grant. Funds will be used to address isolation among seniors by providing access to eHealth platforms.
Ten iPads can be checked out on a weekly basis so seniors can attend virutal medical appointments or converse with friends and family. WHA staff will assist the seniors in using the equipment if necessary.
