NEW HANOVER COUNTY –– Anyone who has yet to receive their Covid-19 vaccine will have the chance at two walk-up clinics on Monday, Apr. 26, and Tuesday, Apr. 27.

The events, put on by the county’s public health department, are taking place at the Schwartz Center in downtown Wilmington and Independence Mall. No appointment is necessary.

The CFCC Schwartz Center, 610 N. Front St., is operating from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Free parking is available in student lot #2, next to the center at the corner of Front and Hanover Streets. Patients should enter through the front of the center and will receive their shot in the gymnasium.

The Independence Mall location, 3500 Oleander Dr., is opening from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m. Patients should enter the mall near Belk’s, facing Independence Boulevard. The vaccine site is between Rack Room Shoes and Bath and Body Works.

Both locations are supplied with the Pfizer vaccine, which is approved for anyone 16 and up.
