Wilmington Health obtained 1,170 doses of the Pfizer vaccine this week, according to data from the N.C. Department of Health and Human Services.
The amount represents a standard batch of Pfizer doses. Providers learned that six doses could be extracted from a single Pfizer vial rather than five, so the typical allocation increased from 975 to 1,170 after the discovery was codified by the NCDHHS.
