North Brunswick High transitions to remote learning for two weeks due to Covid-19 cluster

North Brunswick High School is transitioning to 100% remote learning for students through March 1 due to Covid-19 spread.

BRUNSWICK COUNTY – Another Brunswick County school has closed its building to students after a cluster was identified.

North Brunswick High is transitioning students to 100% remote learning through March 1. At least 10 people have tested positive at the school, according to the BCS reporting.

A spokesperson for BCS said Brunswick County Health Services confirmed at least five of the cases were linked, meaning the school is the site of a cluster.

ServePro will deep clean the campus Tuesday morning while staff works remotely. The employees will return on Wednesday, Feb. 17.

All sports and extracurricular activities are postponed or canceled for the next two weeks.

Union and Jessie Mae Monroe elementary schools also had clusters in recent weeks and will resume in-person instruction Tuesday, Feb. 16. Lincoln Elementary moved to 100% remote last week and will resume face-to-face class on Thursday, Feb. 25.
