Police looking for overnight stabbing suspect

WILMINGTON — Wilmington Police Department are looking for 21-year-old Destiny Marie Mathes, who they suspect was involved in an overnight stabbing.

On Tuesday, Feb. 9, around 3 a.m., officers were called to address a physical dispute in the 3600 block of Sir Galahad Lane. A 22-year-old female victim was stabbed and transported to New Hanover Regional Medical Center. Her injuries are non-life threatening.

Mathes is charged with assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury.
