Covid exposure closes NHC Clerk of Superior Court Criminal Division next week

NEW HANOVER COUNTY — Due to Covid-19 exposure, the New Hanover County Clerk of Superior Court Criminal Division will be closed Monday, Feb. 8, through Friday, Feb. 12.  All scheduled criminal cases will be continued.

Anyone with a case should contact their attorney to schedule a new court date for after Feb. 22. Those without an attorney will need to wait until the week of Feb. 22 to call 910-772-6602 to inquire about a new court date.

New court dates will be mailed, and those who have signed up for texts will be alerted via text message as well.

Grand jurors will not need to report on Monday, Feb. 8, and first appearances in the New Hanover County jail for District Court will be done Tuesday, Feb. 9, and Friday, Feb. 12.

First appearances for anyone in the New Hanover County jail for Superior Court will be done Wednesday, Feb. 10.
