Grief care program opens Jan. 21 to help with loss of spouses, partners

NEW HANOVER COUNTY — Taking place Jan. 21 through Feb. 11, Lower Cape Fear LifeCare (née Lower Cape Fear Hospice) will open to folks who need support getting through the loss of their spouse or partner.

The virtual grief care program takes place on Thursdays, 1 p.m. – 2:30 p.m., for free. Pre-registration is required by calling 1-800-379-4880, and leaving your name, phone number, and name/date of the program you wish to attend. A grief counselor will return the phone call.

Lower Cape Fear LifeCare is a nonprofit organization that supports patients and families through illnesses and end-of-life care. The nonprofit offers outreach programs that provide compassion, education and enrichment opportunities to help folks grieve in safe and familiar environments.
