Two local organizations revitalize Creekwood South basketball courts

WILMINGTON—Local nonprofit Support the Port is collaborating with Monteith Construction to revitalize the basketball courts in the Creekwood South Community.

The two local organizations joined in the partnership to help enhance community space for youth in the area. Support the Port will provide the basketball goals and Monteith will install the goals and create a “usable and inviting space” at the courts, according to a press release.

Founded by Cedric Harrison, Support the Port is a 501(c)(3) organization focused on enhancing community pride and excellence through arts, philanthropy and scholarship, all in a nonviolent environment.

Monteith is a commercial construction general contractor, with goals to build stronger, more equitable communities to live and work in.
