
SOUTHEASTERN N.C. — New Hanover County Schools is reporting 38 Covid-19 cases and 17 quarantines over the past week across its 40-plus campuses, according to the district’s online dashboard.
(Since NHCS’ case counts are not entered in real-time, some current cases may not be reflected until the following week’s totals are published on Friday.)
Since the start of the school year, NHCS recorded nearly 1,000 positive cases total. Here is the breakdown for the week of Oct. 11:

As of Thursday, Oct. 14, Brunswick County Schools is reporting 47 active Covid-19 cases, including two in central services. At least 110 people were under precautionary quarantines as of the latest update.
Since the first day of school, Aug. 30, the school district has recorded 528 positive cases.

Pender County Schools documented 28 cases and 196 quarantines for the week of Oct. 3 to Oct. 9, according to the latest update on its dashboard from Monday, Oct. 11.
Since Sept. 5, at least 250 staff and students in Pender County tested positive for Covid-19.
