LAPP is a program that distributes federal transportation funds to locally sponsored projects. Applications are evaluated using WMPO Board-approved criteria aligned with the region’s 2050 Metropolitan Transportation Plan goals, emphasizing safety, fairness, connectivity, resiliency, and proactive planning.
The FY2029-2030 Special Call for Projects builds on the LAPP process adopted by the WMPO Board in June. The original funding cycle allocated funds through FY2028, prompting this special call to identify
projects for FY2029-2030.
