CFCC locations will close Friday and all events are canceled. (Port City Daily/File)

WILMINGTON — The community college will not reopen its campus Friday, due to snow and ice accumulation ushering in icy roadways.

Cape Fear Community College, instead, is shifting to remote instruction and operations on Jan. 24. All locations of CFCC will be closed and scheduled events are cancelled.

Additionally, the Bonnie Sanders Burney Child Development Center will be closed for the day.
