Pender County property taxes due soon

PENDER COUNTY — Taxes in Pender County are due in the beginning of January.

To avoid late fees, the taxes are due on Jan. 6, 2025. Anyone who hasn’t received a tax bill should contact Pender County Tax Office to determine. Property owners unsure of their payment status can check their account online or call 910-259-1222 for assistance.

By Jan. 7 unpaid taxes will incur interest at a rate of 2% for the first month and an additional 0.75% each month thereafter until the balance is paid, in accordance with North Carolina law.

Payment Options

  • In Person: Pay at the Tax Office, located at 300 E. Fremont St., Burgaw, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • By Mail: Send payments to P.O. Box 1047, Burgaw, NC 28425. Be sure your envelope is postmarked by Jan. 6, 2025, to avoid penalties.
  • Online: Visit pendercountync.gov, select Online Services, and click Pay Your Tax Bill.

Payment Plans

  • Payment plans may be available for those needing assistance. Contact the Tax Office to learn more.
  • To avoid penalties, payments must be submitted or postmarked by Jan. 6, 2025. Payments postmarked on or after Jan. 7, 2025, will be considered late and subject to a 2% fee.
