WILMINGTON — Two men, both exchange students at UNCW, were arrested today for an alleged rape in Asheville, North Carolina.
Magnus Asbjorn Bosen, 22, Hannes Jochen Rueger, 21, have both been charged with first-degree forcible rape in an incident that was reported on Nov. 29. Bosen has also been charged with sexual battery and assault on a female.
According to court documents, both were arrested on Dec. 5 at Seahawk Landing, one of the student housing facilities on UNCW’s campus.
A UNCW spokesperson confirmed the Bosen and Rueger are visiting international students currently enrolled for fall, but it could not share where they are visiting from nor comment on the active investigation.
