NEW HANOVER COUNTY — School officials want community feedback on top issues facing the district and welcome the public to an October town hall.

Sign up is open here for participants to give input on cellphone usage in schools, safety, discipline and aspiring qualities of a superintendent.

The town hall takes place Oct. 15 at the NHCS Board of Education Building 1805 S. 13th St., from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Registration is open to 72 people through Oct. 14.

If it exceeds the amount, a lottery will take place to determine who will be admitted. Participants will be assigned a number through the Google form signup sheet and a random number generator will choose numbers if a lottery is conducted.
