WPD arrest man for alleged breaking and enterings

WILMINGTON — The local police department has received quite a few reports of breaking and enterings in recent weeks and has made an arrest of a local man they believe are tied to the events.

Law enforcement detained 23-year-old Antoine Anderson and charged him with breaking or entering motor vehicle, obtaining property by false pretense, and felony possession of stolen goods/property last Wednesday.

Officers executed a search warrant in the 400 block of Swann Street and recovered numerous items from the residence, including stolen firearms that had been reported.

Anderson is being held at the NHSO Detention Center under a $12,500 secure bond. 

The investigation is ongoing and police more charges are expected, as well as charges against a juvenile are also expected.
