Alan McNaughton has been appointed as the new principal of Topsail Middle School. McNaughton’s background is in special education and he has amassed more than a decade of experience in school administration.

McNaughton’s career began in Fayetteville before he moved to Brunswick County, where in Leland he worked as an assistant principal in North Brunswick High School, and in Shallotte as dean of students at West Brunswick High.

“I am very excited about joining the admin team at Topsail Middle School,” McNaughton said in a press release. “I am looking forward to an exciting year and everything we are going to be able to accomplish as a team.”
