NCDOT to close some north Market Street lanes for 2 nights

WILMINGTON — Crews will be continuing work on the Military Cutoff Extension on North Market Street this week, causing overnight lane closures.

According to the North Carolina Department of Transportation, the outside lanes on a section of Market Street in Wilmington will close beginning at 8 p.m. on Wednesday and Thursday, Jan. 24 and 25. It will affect the roadway between Station and Middle Sound Loop roads.

The lanes will reopen for traffic by 6 a.m.

Drivers are advised to seek alternate routes, if possible, during construction hours or expect delays. Motorists also should process with caution through the work zones.
