
CAROLINA BEACH — A 41-year-old man will face up to 12 years in prison for sex offenses against minors.
Ricky T. Webb of Wilmington pled guilty to Superior Court Judge Frank Jones Dec. 14 for charges stemming from an Internet Crimes Against Children case investigated by the Carolina Beach Police Department. Jones sentenced Webb to 73 to 148 months in prison, along with a 30-year sex offender registration upon release.
Webb was arrested in May 2023 on one count of first-degree sexual exploitation of minor, three counts of second-degree sexual exploitation of minor, and five counts of third-degree sexual exploitation of a minor.
The victim in the case was granted a permanent no contact order.
The investigation was led by CBPD Det. C.A. Morton with assistance from the Carolina Beach Digital Forensics Lab and the Sixth Prosecutorial District Attorney’s Office.
