NEW HANOVER COUNTY — Local law enforcement is investigating a death after a body was found floating in Smith Creek
New Hanover County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call around 1 p.m. Sunday and found a female body in the creek near Wilmington International Airport. The body has been recovered and is under investigation.
