Wave Transit offers free rides on Election Day

NEW HANOVER COUNTY — It will be free fare Tuesday on Nov. 7, Election Day, for Wave Transit riders.

Services offered without charge include the fixed-route bus, Paratransit (DART), RideMICRO, UNCW Seahawk Shuttles, and the Port City Trolley. Wave’s goal is to ensure all residents can have access to the polls on Election Day. 

Fixed-route services will operate according to schedule; click here to see maps. Paratransit and RideMICRO passengers have to book their rides in advance.
