CAROLINA BEACH — A Wilmington man is being held under a $100,000 secured bond at New Hanover County Detention Center, due to charges of death by distribution.

According to a release from the Carolina Beach Police Department, Ethan Hill Faircloth, 23, has been linked to an overdose death reported on the island on Sept. 7, 2022 on Hamlet Avenue. First responders and law enforcement responded to a call and found 22-year-old Dennis “Nash” Nye Connor of Carolina Beach deceased upon arrival.

An investigation conducted by Carolina Beach Police Department detectives identified Faircloth as the responsible party for distributing the illegal narcotics, which resulted in Connor’s death.

Faircloth was at the county detention center on an unrelated charge when he was served the warrant.
