CAROLINA BEACH — The southern portion of Sugarloaf and Sand Live Oak trails are closed for a prescribed burn Wednesday.
The Town of Oak Island issued a statement Wednesday afternoon informing the public the current wind conditions are causing smoky conditions in the Southport and Oak Island areas.
The statement says those with medical concerns affected by the air quality should be aware of current condition and take any needed precaution ahead of outdoor activity.
