WILMINGTON — A 72-year-old cyclist has died due to injuries sustained involving a vehicle crash on Monday.
The Wilmington Police Department traffic units responded at 10:50 a.m. in the 3100 block of Randall Parkway. EMS performed life saving measures on the bicyclist, Raymond Holmes Malone, Jr., and he was taken to Novant Health New Hanover Regional Medical Center. He passed away from his injuries at the hospital.
The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
