MAPLE HILL – Motorists will find new traffic signs installed across Pender County by the end of the month.

Four intersections have been selected to have all-ways stops installed. North Carolina Department of Transportation concluded the stops were needed after conducting a safety review, and assessing traffic volumes and crash patterns.

Crossroads impacted include:

  • Aug. 16: N.C. 53 at N.C. 50
  • Aug. 21: N.C. 210 at Malpass Corner Road/Bell Williams Road
  • Aug. 23: Piney Woods Road at Horse Branch Road
  • Aug. 23: Penderlea Highway at Coras Grove Road

Drivers in the area should proceed with caution as work is underway and with the new traffic pattern.
