Man in custody for allegedly breaking into WB residence

WRIGHTSVILLE BEACH — On Saturday evening a 911 call led Wrightsville Beach Police officers to a man who purportedly forced entry into an unoccupied residence.

Law enforcement found Marque Jamal Twine inside a home on West Oxford Street. According to a release from WBPD, Twine resisted arrest and assaulted officers before being taken into custody.

WBPD is reporting officers identified forced entry at the home. While the charges Twine faces have yet to be released, law enforcement noted he will be charged by both Wrightsville Beach PD and the New Hanover County Sheriff’s Office.

Anyone with information regarding the incident is encouraged to call Det. Greene, lead investigator at  910-256-7945.
