WILMINGTON — A body was found in Godwin Stadium Tuesday morning and local officials are investigating the death.
Wilmington Police Department’s Lt. Leslie Irving said WPD received a call around 8:47 a.m. in reference to a body and sent officers to the scene. Officers found one deceased female and after an extensive investigation, the victim was identified as 32-year-old Micsha Durham.
Her last known address was in Jacksonville, N.C.
This is an ongoing homicide investigation and the WPD Criminal Investigation Division is asking the public for assistance. If anyone has seen Durham or been in contact with her in Wilmington, call WPD Sting Center at 910-765-7822 or use the anonymous Tip411 app.
Godwin Stadium is a ball field managed by the City of Wilmington located at 215 Shipyard Boulevard.
