LELAND — The fastest-growing Brunswick County town is hosting a forum at town hall and welcomes its residents to attend and learn more about growth on the horizon.

The forum is part of the Leland’s education initiative, “Get to Know Your Government: Learning Leland.” It will take place on March 7 at 6 p.m. in the council chambers at 102 Town Hall Drive.

Hosted quarterly, the sessions highlight various topics, with the next one focusing on planning and development.

“Participants will learn about guiding plans, zoning and rezoning, how development review works, preservation and conservation efforts, flood damage prevention, stormwater controls, the annexation process, transportation improvements, and more,” according to a release.

Leland has numerous residential projects and one potential big development — a baseball stadium and mixed-use complex — planned for the area. This will give residents a chance to ask questions of officials and understand more about strategies and goals as Leland continues to grow.
