Leland Family Dollar robbed, police ask for help identifying suspect

LELAND — Sunday afternoon Brunswick County Sheriff’s Department was called to a Family Dollar due to an armed robbery.

The incident occurred at 1 p.m. at 1411 Lanvale Road in Leland; a video can be viewed here. The suspect exited by foot and headed toward Highway 17.

Law enforcement is asking for the community’s help identifying the suspect, described as a tall, Black or bi-racial male in his late 20s. He was wearing a green hoodie, blue mask, blue gloves, gray sweatpants with red symbols on pockets and dreads to about the bottom of his ears.
