Covid-19 booster clinics hosted at UNCW

WILMINGTON — UNCW is offering Covid-19 boosters to students, faculty, staff and the community at large at two upcoming clinics.

The booster clinics take place the next two Fridays, Jan. 20 and 27, 8:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. Both will be open without appointment at the Student Health Center. Boosters are administered for free.

The Pfizer-BioNTech and Moderna bivalent boosters will be available as supplies last. Anyone receiving a dose will be required to stay at the clinic 15 minutes after the shot is administered to ensure there are no side effeects.

Covid-19 tests are also available for students on campus. Appointments have to be made by calling 910-962-3280. The Student Health Center no longer conducts surveillance testing for UNCW employees.
